The Porsche 928, a front-engine Gran Turismo, marked a new chapter in the German brand’s history with its all-aluminum V8 engine. The M28/02, a 4.5-liter variant, powered the early 928 models from 1978 to 1982. This 16-valve engine was designed to deliver a balanced combination of performance and grand touring comfort. It was equipped with a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system, which was an advanced technological achievement of its time. The European version produced approximately 240 horsepower, a highly respectable figure in that era.
